Greensboro, North Carolina
A vibrant, growing community in central North Carolina - and also home to the nations.
How so? Greensboro is home to a growing international community, many recent immigrants and refugees from some of the poorest and most oppressed nations of the world. Hundreds of these new arrivals are faced with innumerable challenges: language barrier, unemployment, lack of housing and basic necessities.
The Seed Project intends to open additional “Seed Learning Centers” to meet these needs. The first center opened in the Fall of 2008.
The center provides:
-
✦ After-school tutoring for children
-
✦Weekly TESL (English as a Second Language) for adults
